RICD Wheelchair Project was determined to improve the quality of life for these people but struggled with distribution of wheelchairs and other aids due to two challenges. The first was the limited availability of hospital vehicles. The second was a need for a mobile work unit adapted to fit the needs of the project.

This project aims to replace worn-out bed sets, improving the children’s health and well-being by addressing back pain and hygiene issues, ensuring a more comfortable and supportive environment for their education and development.

The urban refugees came with families and stayed as Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in communities along the border. They are on the “dead list”, their houses were invaded, and their friends were arrested and killed.

Thanks to the collaboration of all parties involved, the needs of refugees and displaced persons were quickly assessed. Aid was procured and distributed efficiently, ensuring timely support for those in need.

Providing school supplies and equipment for two schools in very remote areas, so the students can gain knowledge and develop skills to reach their full potential.

The project aims to address the structural deficiencies and improve the overall safety of the dormitory, ensuring that the students have a conducive environment for their education and personal development.

The donated stationery has not only filled a tangible gap in essential learning materials but has also generated a sense of enthusiasm and motivation among the students.

This project supports underprivileged youth by providing financial assistance, enabling two motivated students to continue their education and pursue greater opportunities.

The project provides a small stipend for teachers offering English and computer lessons to over 110 children in a refugee camp, allowing them to meet basic needs and continue teaching.

The project fully supports three university students from underserved ethnic groups in Tak province, with two studying Geo-Cultural Management and one pursuing Education for Community Development.

The Nursery School’s roof was in severe disrepair, causing leaks, wet floors, and safety hazards during the rainy season. With our support, the roof has been renovated, ensuring a safe environment for children and teachers in the future.

This project supports the education of disadvantaged children from ethnic minority groups in Thailand, aiming to preserve local languages and culture while developing their Thai speaking, reading, and writing skills.

Due to Myanmar’s political turmoil, many have fled to IDP camps, straining resources and creating health issues. We support the camp by providing urgently needed medications, including rehydration salts, Vermifuge, Decolgen, and Vitamin C.

During Covid, we provided almost 40,000 hot meals over eight months through our Free Food Campaign. Now, as many people have found new jobs, returned home, or no longer need food support, it’s time for us to end the project.

The Koung Jor Nursery School educates young children from the refugee camp and nearby villages, with funding from the Chiang Mai International Rotary Club and SWAN supporting meals, supplies, transport, and teacher salaries.

The COVID-19 pandemic forced schools in Thailand to move online, leaving many families unable to afford devices or internet for their children’s education. In Ban Pha Lai, we offered community-run educational assistance.
