Update from Daniel
Quiet Confidence: Daniel’s Steady Path of Growth, Giving, and Grit
Daniel continues to make steady academic and personal progress in his third year. While his coursework is increasingly challenging, especially in essay writing and economics, he is demonstrating perseverance and commitment. He achieved top marks in Paragraph Writing and continues to improve across other subjects.
Beyond the classroom, Daniel has grown significantly in confidence. With support from peers, he has become more socially active, joining a gym, playing football, and even taking on a leadership role in organising the university’s Halloween Party. Despite last-minute event changes, he embraced the experience as a valuable lesson in flexibility.
Daniel also participated in a Christian camp in Mae Taeng District, where he supported underprivileged families and facilitated children’s activities. He described this as one of the most meaningful experiences of the semester, deepening his sense of purpose and spiritual growth.
Though naturally shy, Daniel is stepping further out of his comfort zone, tackling public speaking challenges, leading campus events, and preparing a group blog project for his English for Tourism course. He continues to explore his identity and future with quiet resilience, gratitude, and a growing sense of confidence.
