One Woman. One Journey. 1.000 Kilometres.
Steps for a Brighter Future is about exactly that: taking steps to empower people to create better futures for themselves, their families, and their communities.
"This campaign is not just about giving money or things; it’s about giving people the tools and opportunities to build more comfortable, meaningful lives, lives where they, too, can support others.
In my own life, I’ve been lucky many times. One of the greatest gifts I received was a strong, multilingual education that opened doors all over the world. It gave me confidence, skills, and the freedom to go anywhere. Along the way, people believed in me and lent me a hand when I needed it most. Now, it’s my turn to do the same."
Claas’ journey has been anything but easy, but she counts her blessings:
"In my own life, I’ve faced many challenges and have been lucky many times. One of the greatest gifts I received was a strong, multilingual education that opened doors all over the world. It gave me the confidence and skills to go anywhere and do many things.
The challenges included battling cancer three times and overcoming Lyme disease. On top of that, I’m a mother of two teenagers! Along the way, I’ve had people who believed in me and lent a hand when I needed it most. And now, it’s my turn to do the same".
Why Philanthropy Connections Foundation?
Claas has chosen Philanthropy Connections Foundation (PCF) because their approach mirrors her vision.
- PCF seeks out community-driven initiatives, started by locals, to address the real needs of their own communities.
- PCF connects those projects with sponsors who share in the mission, ensuring support is sustainable and meaningful.
- PCF's work spans education, community development, economic development, health care, infrastructure, and more, all with emphasis on empowering people to become agents of change in their own lives.
By walking for PCF, Claas is amplifying projects that already exist, helping them reach more people and deepen their impact.
Together, we can transform a 1.000-kilometre walk into 1.000 opportunities for brighter futures.
Join Claas in supporting the cause, and let’s take these steps together!

The Journey
Claas is walking 1.000 kilometres from Bangkok to Chiang Mai.
This is more than a physical challenge. Each step is a symbol of solidarity, raising funds and awareness for grassroots projects that change lives from the ground up.
Every kilometre brings her closer to showing what is possible when individuals come together for a greater cause.
