They cannot wait. We need your help to keep their teachers employed, their bowls full, and their education on track. Please join us in giving them the strongest possible start to 2026.

Why We Need You Now

A Lifeline for Early Education

Early childhood is the most critical stage of development. Yet in these conflict-affected communities, young children often face:

  • Chronic instability and displacement.
  • Limited access to consistent nutrition.
  • A lack of safe environments to learn and grow.

Both beneficiary projects operate with limited resources. Without immediate support, these vulnerable children risk falling behind in school readiness and emotional development.

Dilip Kumar Dasgupta School for Displaced Children

Location: Myine Tha Yar Village, Karen State, Myanmar

Established in 2015 through a local partnership, this school is a lifeline for 38 nursery-aged children, including four orphans. Located in a conflict-affected rural community with little access to public services, the school is the only provider of early education and nutrition for these families.

Crucially, the school currently has no external funding, making your support essential for its survival.

Your donation will directly fund:

  • Teacher Stipends: Ensuring dedicated staff can continue their work.
  • Nutritional Support: Providing daily meals for growing children.
  • Classroom Resources: Books, stationery, and learning materials.
  • Operations:
  • Covering the basic costs to keep the school safe and open.

Baan Unrak Nursery School

Location:   Sangkhlaburi District, Kanchanaburi Province, Thailand

The Baan Unrak Nursery School has a powerful history: it was founded by young women who fled persecution in Myanmar and rebuilt their lives through community service. Since 2007, it has supported children from Karen, Burmese, Mon, and Thai backgrounds.

Today, the centre offers safety and stability to 24 young children, 20 from the Baan Unrak Children’s Home and 4 from the local community, supported by three committed teachers.

The nursery plays a crucial role in preparing children for primary school while helping them develop emotional security, social skills, and confidence.

Your donation will directly fund:

  • Teacher Support: Salary top-ups for the women providing daily care.
  • Educational Tools: Early learning materials to prepare children for primary school.
  • Health & Hygiene: Supplies to maintain a clean, safe environment.
  • Daily Care:
  • The routine costs of running a nurturing space for vulnerable toddlers.

Build a Stronger Future

Your support helps these children build the foundations needed for a healthier, brighter future. Please join us in giving them the strongest possible start to 2026.
