About the Campaign
From 12 December 2025 to 21 January 2026, Philanthropy Connections Foundation invites you to join our Christmas Holiday Fundraising Campaign to support two early childhood projects on the Thai–Myanmar border. These centres provide safety, care, and foundational education for young children living in highly vulnerable circumstances.
This year, we aim to raise 604,096 THB to sustain:
- Dilip Kumar Dasgupta School for Displaced Children in Karen State, Myanmar
- BUR Nursery School at Baan Unrak Community, Thailand
Your generosity during the holiday season will help ensure that more than 60 young children and their teachers have the security, nutrition, and early learning opportunities they need to grow and thrive.
Why This Campaign Matters
Early childhood is the most critical stage of development. Yet in conflict-affected and disadvantaged communities, young children often face:
- Lack of access to early learning
- Unstable home environments
- Language barriers
- Poverty and displacement
- Risks of emotional and cognitive delays
Both beneficiary projects operate with limited resources and face significant financial pressure. Without additional support, children who are already vulnerable may fall further behind in school readiness, emotional development, and basic learning skills.

About the Beneficiary Projects
1. Dilip Kumar Dasgupta School for Displaced Children
Estimated Budget Needed: 304,096 THB
Location: Myine Tha Yar Village, Karen State, Myanmar
Established in 2015 through a local partnership, the Dilip School provides early childhood care for 38 nursery-aged children, including four orphans. Despite being located in a conflict-affected rural community with little access to public services, the school continues to offer:
A safe, nurturing, home-based learning environment
English, Myanmar, and Mathematics lessons
Daily care and nutrition
Support from three dedicated teachers who also manage food growing, home-care routines, and classroom duties
The school currently has no external funding, making continued support essential for its survival.
2. Teacher Supplement for BUR Nursery School
Estimated Budget Needed: 300,000+ THB
Location: Baan Unrak Community, Sangkhlaburi District, Thailand
The Baan Unrak Nursery School was founded by young women who fled persecution in Myanmar and rebuilt their lives through strength, compassion, and service. Since 2007, the nursery has supported children from Karen, Burmese, Mon, and Thai backgrounds, offering safety, stability, and early learning.
Today, the centre provides daily care and education to 24 young children (20 from the Baan Unrak Children’s Home and 4 from the community), supported by three committed teachers. Funding is needed to maintain:
Teacher salary supplements
Learning and classroom materials
Daily care, hygiene, and structured developmental activities
The nursery plays a crucial role in preparing children for primary school and helping them build emotional security and confidence.
